Presenter mode
View → Present (F5) shows the scene alone, full screen, with a large control bar at the bottom: the step, Restart, Play / Pause and Exit. The bar fades after a moment and comes back with the mouse.
Building a figure up step by step
Every annotation has a Reveal at step number (Properties → Presenter; 0 = always shown). In presenter mode step k shows the annotations whose step is k or less, so you can show the mechanism first, then the forces one by one, then the dimensions.
| Key | Does |
|---|---|
| → PageDown Enter | next step |
| ← PageUp | previous step |
| Home / End | first / last step |
| Space | play / pause |
| Esc or F5 | leave |
While presenting nothing can be deleted or renamed from the keyboard; bodies can still be dragged to show what happens. Outside presenter mode every annotation is shown, so editing and exports are unchanged.
A shared link opens in the same presenter view, with Open in Ordinate 2D in place of Exit.
Notes, views, a laser and a timer
Scene Properties (nothing selected) → Presentation lists the steps, from step 0 (the start):
- Speaker notes for each step. In presenter mode, Notes opens the presenter's window — put it on your laptop screen while the scene is on the projector: it shows this step's notes, the next step's, a clock, and Previous / Next / Play / Laser buttons. The arrow keys work in it too.
- A view for a step: frame the scene as you want it (zoom and pan), then Use This View. When the step comes, the camera glides there; the same part of the scene is shown whatever the screen size. Add a Step makes steps beyond the annotations' ones (a view or a note alone).
- Auto-advance: with Auto pressed in presenter mode, the next step comes after the set number of seconds (8 s if none is set), until the last step.
L (or Laser) turns the mouse into a red laser dot. The presentation is saved with the scene.
